The art of arranging music has two purposes; to provide a new arrangement and/or to orchestrate a known one. Pike-Music will do either and both if your need exists.
Percussion ensembles, small chamber ensembles, drum circles, orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz bands and marching bands all have specific needs when it comes to learning new music. Let Pike-Music be your choice for new musical arrangments in your next school year.
Composing
As a composer of new music in the 21st Century my goals are educational. Those of us in the musical field are forced to educate in order to perpetuate our continued existence, and through all techniques, from Renaissance to the avant garde, Pike-Music is dedicated to quality compositions for today's youth and to assist directors in educating students on the modern forms of musical composition and performance.

Mirrored Dance Difficulty: 6 Performers: 7 Percussionists: xyl, vib, 2 mar, tmpblk, sn, bd This piece is a serial composition in the style of Webern and it ends just backwards from how it began. It has a surprising melodic quality despite the serial material. Mirrored Dance is an excellent first example of serial composition for the advanced percussion performer. |

Orocarni: the Red Mountain Difficulty: 3 Performers: 8 Percussionists: sn, bd, sus/cr cym., tim, chi, blls, mba, vib Orocarni is inspired by a volcanic eruption in the dead of night. As night time unfolds the world of Orocarni is awakened and destroyed by its mother volcano. This is a wonderful piece for beginning percussionists. It explores meter change and temporal fluxes. |
